Tow mirrors

So I just upgrade from a 2015 1500 to 2021 2500 my new truck didn't come with tow mirrors so I took them off my 1500. They bolt up fine and plug in but they don't work does anyone know if the pin out is different or if I can make the work

Does your new truck have the same mirror options as the 2015? Meaning heated, power, turn signal, etc? I can't say for sure about your situation but if you put loaded up mirrors from a certain year on a stripped down one of the same year then those extra functions will not work. You may need the modules and for sure need to have it flashed at the dealer. That may not apply to your 2021 so wait until someone more knowledgeable on them chimes in.

I would suggest a search in the 4th gen diy, you will find discussion about the upgrade. Since your new truck did not have the features of your old, you will possibly need wiring, modules, and/or AlphaOBD work completed. This might help as well:

it may be as simple as reprogramming the truck computer to know the mirrors are there..

4th gen 2015 mirrors bolt right up to 5th gen 2021?
