Hi everyone, does anyone know the stock max temp limits for coolant, engine oil, tranny oil on a 2015 Ram 2500 6.7 crew cab. During normal driving, non towing, i get coolant around 190, engine oil around 200, trans around 165. My truck is stock and currently has 40k miles.

A few weeks ago, i was towing a 14k 5th wheel up a 6% grade, ambient air was around 90 degrees, i saw coolant get up to 226, engine oil 240, and trans around 175. Once i got to the top of the hill, coolant dropped down to 215. Ive never seen any light pop up or alerts that im overheating the truck. What temps are too high in these situations? Thank you for any feedback.

I don't know if this is relevent because I have a 6.4 gas motor in a '17 2500 crew cab. I tended to run it hard when I was "teaching" it how I drove, no towing. In summer driving, I regularly saw coolant temps in the 220-225 range and oil temps around 215-220. It's actually good to get the oil above the boiling point so the condensation boils off. And as I said, this is just hard driving without towing anything. I don't think you have anything to worry about, but the Oil burner guys might disagree. Just my .02 Ed.

Ok, so these are my typical numbers towing my double axle dump/utility trailer, usually with my wife and dog. Trailer is around 7500-8500 loaded, depending on the load. Truck empty is 7450lbs. I'm 190, wife is 125...ish. xD

Up grades, 6-7%, 240 oil temp, 225 coolant, 174 trans. 6.4L though. Numbers might differ from diesels.

My experience is it takes about 3 miles up grade to get up to the high temps. But once they are there, they either stay there or they start to drop a little, but I haven't yet seen them exceed those values. I'm unsure if that's because the thermostats open fully at those temps or not.

My truck is a 17 power wagon, so this may or may not be useful. But either way, my values seem to be nearly exactly what yours are.
