Was just wondering how long it takes for the system to refresh the status of the tires pressure?

I replaced mine earlier today with some 20 sport rims that came with tires and allegedly tpms. They all had only approx 19psi of air, so got them pumped to 39 approx. System still registers old wheel figures.

Could it be that the old wheels are in the garage near the vehicle, so on startup its picking them up? I have driven about 10 miles on new tires and wheels still aint updated.

Wheels are made late 2014 according to date stamp on back of rim and the tires are all made week 18 of 2015. So they all come of a 2015 sport per what the seller said.

The other question is, are the bolts and locks I used from the 20" chrome clads compatible with the 20 sport rims? Just want to make sure.

I also noticed on my existing wheels and replacements a blue or black Sharpy pen /ink mark in one groove of each rim located on the rear of the center of each rim,. Is this a indicator that it must be mounted in any particular way / postion ?

I bought Mopar TPMS sensors when I had my Fuel wheels installed. My dealer, who I bought the new sensors from and the tire dealer, told me it takes around 20-25 miles for the new ones to sense the pressure. I took my truck for a good ride after the Fuels and tires were installed and the new sensors worked fine.

I had my stock wheels and tires in the back of my truck and was driving up north with them and got to thinking, OK which sensors is my truck picking up? Well I got up north and took my stock set out and the TPMS in the new set up was working fine.

I went with Mopar TPMS sensors because I read on here that some after market sensors may require a dealer flash of some sort to work properly for a $100.

About 20-25 miles. That's how long it took for the sensors in my Ultra Barons to pick up.

20-25 miles as stated by others

Other tires in your garage or bed won't interfere with the readings.

The other question is, are the bolts and locks I used from the 20" chrome clads compatible with the 20 sport rims? Just want to make sure.

Nuts will work just fine as the same lug nuts are used across all the wheels, it's when you get into aftermarket wheels that you need to look at the diameter of the holes drilled for the studs as they are typically smaller than the stock wheels.

I also noticed on my existing wheels and replacements a blue or black Sharpy pen /ink mark in one groove of each rim located on the rear of the center of each rim,. Is this a indicator that it must be mounted in any particular way / postion ?

No special mounting requirements/positions, just throw them on.

Each sensor transmits a unique (usually 32-bit) ID, plus the actual pressure reading. The monitor will only read signals from the sensors that are in its memory. I can decode a few types of them now, so I can read the pressure on vehicles going by the shop. Good way to track a vehicle with several receivers, since each vehicle has at least 4 unique ID's on it. Some models respond to a 136 kHz interrogation signal like RFID tags. All to comply with a poorly-written and ill-conceived fed regulation that didn't solve any problems that it was written to.

Well its all coming together now. I guess when I questioned the seller about if the tpms sensors came with the sport wheels and he played dumb saying that he didnt believe the tire store unmounted the tires from the rims I bought was bull$. This was when he was upgrading to 22" spinner looking rims LOL

After about 20 miles I get the -- dash dash and orange warning now. So no TPMS sensors fitted, Gonna punch myself in the throat as I did take my digital air pressure tool with me and noticed at the time all tires on the sellers rims were set at just below 20psi, indicating lazy tire store not refilling them up all the way after removing tires to take off tpms sensors that he now has on his 22 inch rims no doubt.

So in essence I now have to purchase a set of 2015 TPMS sensors and cost of removing tires and installing tpms sensors, and no doubt balancing needed also? Probably another $150-$200 to spend.

These southern ******** on my craigs list, not only do they command silly money for their parts they also screw you too. Man, most these assholes selling the sport rims with tires local to me want about 1400 - 2000 for a set. Just glad I brought the price down a little on my set from his asking price of 1400 to $1140.

I was thinking about texting or calling him back, but I dont know. I know buying used is sold as seen, but maybe just a rant but then again, no point get angry anymore than needed.

Yup, I suspect you are right. No sensors were included so you have to dismount the tires, put in new sensors, re-mount the tires and balance the assembly before putting them back on the truck.

Total skill duggery if you ask me LOL. So in total these rims and wheels cost me 1140 plus cost of sensors and mounting etc.. I guess those 1700 brand new rims from ebay from a dealer doesnt sound as bad anymore. Oh well, least the tires were new and wheels also.

Just one thing, can anyone confirm the part number for a 2015 sensor for me please, research concluded on my side for it to be 68249197AA ?

EDIT,. Never mind it is the above part number I need for the 2015. Part number 68249197AA x 4
