The lights part confused me since an Express doesn't come with projectors. So you preferred the quads unless the high beams were on? I agree the 14 definitely looks better, but the MPG should be nice.

I've debated the quad versus crew thing before. I didn't pay much attention when I bought and got a quad, but if I paid more attention probably would have gotten crew. I like the looks of the quad better. I'm getting ready to pay my 17 off so I'm planning on keeping it a long time, kind of wish I had 19 since I planning on long term but the 4 inch extra length would be annoying for the garage. Plus I'd have to come up with another 7k or so on top of paying mine off. So now I'll probably just deal with less room

One of the things that I noticed on mine was the lag off the line. I think it has more to do with pedal by wire than turbo lag. I got the pedal commander installed last week, and I run it on a city setting +3 and the lag is gone. Look it up or do some searched on it here on this site. It was 270 bucks. Well worth it. Mine came with the adjusting grill and also a cover for it when it gets really cold. Id be happy if I don't need to use the block heater. I'd need to get the cable and then play contortionist to get it installed.

I traded my 14.5 in feb for a 17 ecod

I have a pedal commander on street +2 dont kid yourself, no such thing as eliminating turbo lag.

If you want to do that, you remove the turbo.

The Black Out Express came with the projector headlights in 2014 and I think some of 2015. All other express had quads.

Have to concur with everything. Traded in my '11 5.7 Big Horn for a '15 Laramie ED. I do about 25K miles a year but use my truck like a truck so the mileage increase has so far been noticeable, even with yet another vehicle payment...

Glad you like the ecodiesel. We love ours.. I sold my 05 Landcruiser and finally bought a pickup. Bought a 2016 that was 1 year old. My wife had to have the bling, and now she drives it all the time!! Darn! She took it as hers!! White with the gold trim.
First diesel we have ever owned..

Longhorn, 4x4 , Ramboxes, tonneau cover, filigree saddle interior she loves!!
I added the left rear step down, mudflaps, faux carbide hood protector, and dark window tint, and clear window tint on the front windshield, which is wonderful on hot days here in San Antonio.:)
I installed Michelin Premier tires and she drives like a car!!! Comfortable! Approx. 40K miles..
