I recently got myself a 97 ram 1500 5.2 2wd, extended cab 6’ bed. I actually traded it for a ps4, and had to complete a long list of repairs to get it running. It was wrecked so I had to put on a new core support, headlights, grill, bumper, wheel studs, brakes, oil, tune up, water pump and a new one of those stupid little hoses, rad over flow, new door panels, the list goes on. Here’s a few pics from my phone of the truck, I’m starting my own business and will be making this a work truck but want it to look decent so I’m trying to go over the whole thing and trying to get it strong and reliable.

So I have a long list of small things that need to be worked out but I’d really like your guys help on a few things. For one, my trans is acting funny, about 10% of the time I go from brake pedal to gas pedal, (stopped or moving) the engine will rev to about 2k and then finally engage, and every once in a while it will down shift then continue to upshift/downshift/upshift/downshift etc. so the trans fluid is literally the only thing I haven’t serviced yet so I ordered a filter kit with gasket and 10qts of mopar atf+4. While I’m in there other than obvious parts laying in the pan/metal shavings, is there anything else I should do or look for? is it even worth servicing or should I look into getting a new trans. Ive always here horror stories about these transmissions and I’m no trans guy.
Next, I’ve replaced all bulbs in the truck and my passenger side front blinker isn’t working, I checked the bulb and even swapped it from the driver side and still nothing, before I start digging into a wiring diag (which I suck at) is there a bad relay or something that can cause this?
I have a few more questions but we can start with that. I got a power scrubbing kit and am going to do a deep clean on the interior on the truck hopefully this week so I’ll take before and after pics of that as well.
