Hey everyone!

I traded in my 2014 Ram 1500 with 48000 miles last week. They gave me 28k for a truck I paid 30k for 5 years ago so I picked up a 2021 white Laramie sport.

Ironically enough, I just finished my build on my 4th gen when I traded it. I am coming from a Crew Cab with a 4" lift on 35x12.5 wrapped around OEM sport wheels with 11mm Bora spacers ( I had to get them I rubbed the control arm with stock wheels).

Anyways, after getting all this on my 4th gen, I had some things I didn't like and hope to change on this one.

First thing different is I only plan on doing a level with 5100 Bilstein's in the front. The lift was just kind of a pain but it bothered me just being leveled on 35s. I feel like 33 look good on a level and 35s ( in my opinion need a 4" lift)

I also plan on going 33" tires instead of 35's. They just felt so heavy on my 3.21 gears/transmission at cruising speeds which may have contributed to my transmission issues. I do however want to keep the 12.5 width if I can but I want my tires/wheels to stick be flush with Rams OEM fender flares. My 4th gen tires pushed out because the 12.5's rubbed the control arm like I stated above. It looked amazing parked but god it threw so much **** down the side.

From what I have read 33x12.5s have cleared the control arm on these without issue even on stock wheels. Please correct me if im wrong....

So I'm on the hunt for 20x10 black wheels at most a -15 offset ( looks so close to flush on the oem fender flares. ( I'm learning about wheels/tires so if I ***** up let me know)

I also hope 33x12.5s will be a better ride compared to 35x12.5 and as much as I would like lift the truck OEM warranty is now in play again but honestly I am okay with it.

I also had a Carven exhaust on my 4th gen which I loved in the city but lets be honest that drone gets old.... Not to mention this truck I am in right now is the quietest cab I have ever been in. I am enjoying it.

Anyways ill put some pics in below.

I believe you can get a leveling (maybe even a lift) kit from MOPAR at your dealership and keep all warranties in place. I believe it even uses the Bilstein parts. That would cost a little more than buying online but would keep everything done by RAM under warranty. As far as wheels and tires, I would suggest if you want a better ride, choose your tires wisely. If you are buying new wheels, I'd suggest not getting 20x10 for a size and instead look for a 18x9. Tire size, I suggest a 285 or 295 width, 65 or 70 aspect ratio, and of course the 18 inch rim diameter. This will not be to wide, stay flush with the fender flare, still look aggressive and better than the stock ones. Brands I would consider of hand would be Bridgestone dueler AT Revo 3, Cooper Discoverer AT3 or ATW, Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Yokohama Geolandar AT, just to name a few that would be aggessive enough looking but perform well on the road.

I just traded in my 15 Laramie 1500 with a 6" lift on 35's for a 22 1500 Limited. I loved the 15... (the wife hated the lift) but the new one... wow, what a ride difference. I fought tire balancing gremlins the entire time I owned the 15. I ran stock wheels with a 1/4" spacer needed to gain clearance for the control arms with 35 x 12.5 tires. I switch to aftermarket rims... still fought balancing issues. I agree a I like the truck to be level not nose down, so I'm a huge fan of leveling kits.. With my new truck since the ride quality is soooo good, I'm going to keep the suspension stock... at least for a few years... can't leave anything alone... have to mod it to fit me...

Good luck with the new ride.

I bet there is a kit out there that will use the stock suspension but gives a lift, similar to the BDS kit for the air ride trucks.

Look at AEV stuff closely. They really know these trucks well. More tire less wheel equals better ride - regardless of suspension

So if you just do the front 5100’s can you fit the 33x12.5 on stock 20 wheels?

Yes but you will need spacers for the control arm at least on the stock sport wheels. Its the width of the tire that will be potentially an issue. Now this depends on the actual tire though. My friend has BF goodrich 0 rub. My falkens rubbed big time.

Never told you but it is your truck that's probably going to end Decades of Buying Michelines , for my Trucks.
I liekd the looks, researched them,
Liek teh Winter rating and all teh psoitives.

had thought about KOP2's but never leaped.
I;ve decided, next set of rubber is going to be winter driving rated WildPeaks.

Any and all issues, with those Tires, will be your Fault and yours, Alone.
Will not even blame the tires.
Not they're Fault they're junk, if they should be so

BUT YOURS, You talked me, into them, with your pictures.
Steel yourself.
Might want to find Religion.
