Trailer Tow Group

I'm looking at buying a new Ram 1500, but I'm not seeing many on the lot with the Trailer Towing Group option. I would order one with it, but don't want to wait two or three months for it to be built.

Does anyone know if this can be added later?

If it's just the hitch, brake controller and tow mirrors and even sway bars I wouldn't let the dealer do that work anyway. If you're wanting the heavy duty oil and/or trans coolers, reverse guidance or whatever Ram calls it then you should probably wait until you find what you're looking for. Nothing worse than buying a truck you're disappointed in.

aftermarket is nothing like the factory install. the tranny is geared different when u push tow/haul mode besides the oil& tranny coolers
