Maybe I'm just too used to manual but it feels when I'm shifting between drive, park, neutral ect I feel like I have to be really delicate and have to be completely stopped or it seems like it puts stress on the tranny and it clunks or groans. Anyone know what I'm talking about or is this not normal? Thanks

Lol I know that but I'm talking about is if you're liking shifting from park to reverse it feels sketchy...I guess what I'm trying to explain has no words for the internet lol I'm not like going into reverse at any speed it just seems like its not as fluid as it should be? I don't know how to put it

Its kind of like a slightly slipping gear in a manual (it seems to hunt more)

ive never really had anything like that on mine or my 02'
maybe check the tranny fluid level.

i know when i go from [P] to [R] i have to wait about 1-2 seconds for engagement as well as from [n] to [d] but ive never felt a slipping feeling

Too tired to read to the bottom of thread but in my experience this is fixed by dropping pan and replacing the filters and replace fluid. Makes that go away just my opinion. I tow a lot and this happens to me every 30 or 40k.

yes and i think i know what you are talking about now. I remember on my 05...if you put it in gear or reverse and don't wait for it to engage, you hit the gas and then there is jerk and noise as it engages in gear but with revs up.

Yeah that's pretty much what I'm talking about. I'll try switching the tranny fluid and filter and see if that helps. The whole situation doesn't really concern me a whole lot, it just gets annoying being as careful with the tranny as I am lol
