i got my 21 ram classic about a month ago. i'm in canada and there is no transmission options up here
so i'm wondering how do i know if i have a 850re or a 8hp70?

If you have a 5.7 HEMI then you have the
ZF 8HP75 instead of the 850RE.

The classics don't get the 8HP75 Fast,the 75 is only available in the new body style 5th Gens,if he has the 8 speed it'll be the 8HP70. Op do you have a dial shifter mounted in the lower dash to the right of the steering column,or is the shifter on the column. If you have a dial shifter you have the 8 speed,if you have a column shifter,you'll have the 6 speed RFE transmission
