Time to do a transmission drain and refill on my 3.6 with 850RE transmission. The OEM PN is 52854834AB however I have a good option on the 68225344AA pan that appears to be fore the transmission that goes with the 5.7 engines.

There's been a decent amount discussion on the topic of interchanging pans from the 850RE, 8HP70, 8HP75 etc... but was wondering if anyone actually put the OEM 68225344AA on the 850RE or 8HP50

For reference this is for a 2021 Ram 1500 Classic V6.

45, 50, 70, 75 will all take the same pan. You can also use the metal pan off a Jeep, the shallow pan of a beemer, or any knock off you find on rock auto or Amazon. They all fit.

The important thing is to make sure your jacked the rear up high enough to get the transmission flat.

This is the pan I have on there now. I remember comparing it the the one I took off, couldn’t see and difference whatsoever except that the part number stamped on it was different. There were no issues.

The metal pan off the Jeep 850 transmission fits and has a replaceable filter. The filter is of OEM quality and should be available in the future. Aftermarket pans, who knows how long they will be supported and the quality of the filter being used.
PPE has been around for along time,i don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon. After dissecting the PPE filter and the OEM filter, the PPE filter is actually a better filter then the OEM filter in my opinion
The other aftermarket pans, i have never used so can't comment on them.
