Hi im new here i have a 2005 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel with an automatic trans. When i put it in drive and push down on the accelerator pedal right away you can feel it slipping. It moves but you can feel it slipping and it gradually goes back to normal. This all happens within like 30 seconds or so from when i put in drive till it stops slipping. It only does it when i first start it up and go. Is this normal? Ive had this truck since it was new and dont remember this happening its whole life but it has been going on for awhile now. It only has almost 100,000 miles. Thanks for the help.

Check the fluid level , it would be a good time for new filters and fluid.

If you put it in neutral for a few seconds that will engage the pump and get the fluid circulating, which should help.
