Hey guys! My first post here on the forum and have some questions about the NP231. I am building my 98 Dodge Ram with the 318 and I’m currently trying to swap out my NV3500 for my NV4500. I have just about everything I need including a very hard to find bell housing, however I ran into another problem. The output shaft of the trans is a 29 spline and the input of the transfer case is 23. I know they make a 29 spline input shaft for it but they always say it only works for the Jeep NP231. I would like to know the reason why that is and if I could make it work in my Dodge. Thanks for your help guys!
