Transfer case questions

So i got a 04 Ram 1500 4x4, im trying to replace the tcase in it, it has the 244d 4hi/4lo/2wd electric shift…i have looked and looked for a replacement and to be honest, im tired of looking….in order for the 4x4 to work obviously it has to have the tcase back in it that came out of it….but if i forgoe the 4x4 what tcase can i go back with….i would love to retain the 4x4 but at this point il take what i can get to get it back on the road

if you guys happen know of a place i can get a 244d electric shift 4hi/4lo/2wd please, let me know

Have you tried salvage yards, or Facebook marketplace ? just make sure its off a gen 3 ram, The shift cam that the eshift motor connect differs with the gen 4 models

i look on marketplace daily still, if u post on there all you get is scam messages an to be honest im tired of dealing with that, salvage yards sell bout as soon as they get them so yeah

Can you get a rebuilt one?...or rebuild it yourself?

Just in case you have not found a 244D Transfer Case yet I found a few on eBay for sale. I will send you a private message with the link.
