Transmission cooling line that is located at the rear of the transmission has cracked and broken off part of the transmission housing. Have tried JB Weld Steel Stick that after setting had been drilled and tapped. Held for about five minutes. Just long enough to get my hopes up. The amount of missing housing is too much for one of the repair kits. Any suggestions? In my mind my next option is to drop the transmission and have the housing welded then drill and tap. This is on a 2003 3500.

Thanks Robin

This is a poor picture but gives you an idea. When cleaning the grime off most of the extension broke off. It was in very poor condition.

You would be better off to replace the case. To fix it while installed will be very difficult, just getting it clean enough to bond is a challenge.
