Hi,
So my friend has a 2005 Ram Rumble Bee.
He wanted to do a tranny flush on it and he put new castrol ATF+4 oil and the 2 new filters.
he said he put 5.5 qts of oil and now the truck wont go into drive or reverse. It just stays in neutral.
Is this something that can be fixed?

It seems to me that the cheap aftermarket filters he put on it messed them up or something.

Sounds like they might not have been installed correctly.

The larger flat filter seal has to be installed and firmly seated or snapped into place within the housing correctly, if not the fluid will drain back out and there will be no forward or reverse, at the very least there will be a lot of slippage.

Technically, this is not a flush. In a flush or exchange, you tap into the cooling lines and pump out the old fluid and pump in the new fluid. What you have here is a drain and refill. It is advisable to add fluid GRADUALLY, with the engine idling, Trans in neutral. If the filter is installed incorrectly, all bets are off.
