So im planning out a t56 magnum swap for my 11 RT. Im looking to find out how long the stock 645rfe is. The t56 is 33.5 inches. I know ill need to modify the driveshaft but i dont know if ill need it full custom or just a 31 spline input yoke.

Cheers
Brandon

I'm subscribing for wiring and computer info...Unless I beat you to swapping a G56 into my '11 2500. With any luck mine is happening in October. :naughty:

I'm 4x4 and crew cab so my measurements aren't going to help you.

Or does anyone know the output spine for the trans?

Tail housing or trans? There's likely a difference. You're asking for the driveshaft yoke I'm guessing?

You might have to do a little work to get the answers you need. Getting the swap done is going to be several trips under the truck. What's one more?

The trans mount is 25.5 inches from the engine to the mount bolts

The 25.5" sounds familiar. Does the "transmission cross member" even bolt to the transmission? I bet it attaches to the tail housing. On my truck it was bolted to the 4x4 adapter between the transmission and the transfer case. I thought that was odd but I guess it works. The mounts match up perfectly with the longer G56 I'm going to be putting in :)

So these are the 2 bolts that are 25.5 inches back from the bell housing

I tore apart the console today and it seems like the fwd end of the shifter is in line with the 25.5 inch mount. This should mean a challenger tr6060 shifter input at 26.4 inches should almost be perfect. Add a custom shifter from core and i think im set.

So not sure if the picture does it justice but the frame is all there for a clutch pedal. And firewall has a hole for the master cylinder. Should just be able to get a 2500 brake and clutch pedal and a ram master and slave assembly.
