Transporting Flatscreen TV 44"-55" in Reg Cab

Going to check out some flat screen's today for the spare room and wondering if any of you with RC's have placed them in the "black tray" since i want to keep it upright and avoid having to use the bed?

I just strap it upright in the bed. never had an issue. once I had a friend sit in the bed for extra safety.

Same here, strapped my 67" upright in the bed and just drove carefully and all was good

This reminds me of a guy that bought a 60" from my job and drove it home in his miata. That was fun trying to shoehorn that thing in there.

If its new and still in the box, I'd strap it down in the bed and drive carefully

I dont see why it wouldnt work in that back space.

the box they come in are usually pretty big and you should be able to strap it stading up in the bed up against the cab.

Yea I'm not sure it would fit behind the seats still in the box. The box my 42" came in was huge. It'd probably fit fine without the box though. Just take a bunch of blankets to wrap around it and throw the box in the bed.

It'd be easiest to just stand it up in the front of the bed and strap it in.

^^ I agree with everyone lol, if it's not in a box just wrap it real good in some thick blankets and strap it down good

Thanks for the suggestions all. After not finding what i want local i decided to order the tv and sound bar via Amazon to the door. Good way to make use of our Prime account.

Scrounging CL now for a used but decent looking stand which will go in the bed.

To be honest... wall mount... I had a stand for a while and hated it! got a wall mount and dropped all my wires through the wall using some cheap wall plates to make it look good. and have not been happier!
