Alright so I have been reading around the Forum and been entertaining the idea of Leveling or doing an all around 4" lift. With money constraints right now I was thinking more of just doing a Level for the time being, but then I found this kit made by Traxda, formerly Truxxx.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it wise to raise it with these spring spaces/shock extension rather than say fatbobs pucks?

Traxda Kit #604082 - 2009-2013 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd - Front & Rear Lift Kit

For all the level guys- Is it really noticeable if you only Level the front 2"?

Keep in mind, I have a 2wd 2012 Express on the stock tire setup 275/60R20, Say if one was to level. How big could I possibly go? I definitely would want to go wider, to come out of the wheelwell a little bit.

Thanks friends

I have never known anyone to run the traxda, but after looking at them they really don't seem any different than other leveling kits. As far as it being wise to lift/raise/level a truck using spacers, this is how most accomplish this, unless you install something like the Bilstein 5100 on a 4wd.

Lots of people run 34.1 with a level and I think it looks good. I've seen 35s on a level even 37s.

A lot of your size constraint is with the upper control arm rubbing width wise. a 1/4" wheel spacer can fix that to fit 12.5 wide. Or an 11 or so wide without spacers.

If you just level eventually the lift bug will bite ya:Get him!:

haha that was what I am afraid of. So say if I do a 4" lift (Maybe a CST or RC), I would also need a level too- right?

Think I might just go with my gut and skip the Traxada and go for the straight lift

Theres a ton of options on how to get it level, surf the lifted forum a little and you'll find all kinds of 4" set ups!

So I surfed around a bit and decided for a 3" BL and a 2 or 2.5" level up front. I ended up calling a shop, and here is the Estimate I recieved. I could do the Level.. but I am not too inclined to do the BL.

Located in VA: Eastern Auto (This price is determined from them doing the lift and level)

Lift kit/level (PA parts): $650
Labor: $1000
Alignment: $90

All you lift guys, Is this about right? Or what kind of input do you have?

Any price range from guys who got a body lift at a shop? In terms of Labor?

I researched a bit more and looks like a 3" PA Body lift is ~$400, and Leveling kit pucks ~$100

Hey man. I have the 2.5" Rough Country leveling kit installed on my truck. It's pretty cheap (only like $130) and it has made my truck almost completely level. It comes with a 1.75" lift for the rear but I didn't install that because my truck had a ton of rake when it was stock. So I figured just doing the front would be the best way to make it level.

So far I love the kit. Looks great, no issues (knock on wood) yet or anything. Here's how my truck sits now with the leveling kit installed:

Hope this helps!
