Truck not starting

I have a brand new battery and about 39,000 miles on the truck. Occasionally .my truck won't start, it will only click once. Could it be the starter?

1 thing that i do is to have a 8 ounce or heavier metal hammer with me when i go any where.
Sometimes Starters hang up & need a little tap or 3

sometimes Crankshaft or Camshaft Solenoids decide to go bad,
Good Luck finding a proper Diagnostic Tool in your Tool Box

Does this truck have the original, 6 year old battery? If so, I think I would have it tested before I condemned the starter.

You're probably going to find this battery to be marginal at best if it is the original battery or if the battery is 3 years old or more.

No brands new battery, that was my first thought
