Has anyone else has an unfounded concern about their truck?

About 2 weeks after I took delivery of my truck I was driving home from work and it started making a loud screeching sound from the passenger's wheel. It was bad on straight drives and it sounded really horrible on curves and turns.
Before I took it in the next day to have it fixed under warranty I took off the tire too see if I could spot the problem.
It turned out that a piece of gravel had stuck to the tire because they were resurfacing the parking lot at my work and the gravel was covered with tar. Once the tar let free the gravel dropped down between the rotor and the metal shield and was causing the sound.

About a month after getting my brand new truck I got rear ended, that was $1K of damage. Now a few weeks ago some idiot backed into the side of my truck that one caused about $5500 of damage. I'm a little bit over the baby the truck phase :roflsquared:

if the first few thousand miles, my truck would shift really hard, especially when slowing to a stop. now its smooth as glass. i thought i had another bad transmission. my 2007 put me through the wringer with the tranny. my 2014 with the 8spd has been a dream....now only if it had 3.92 gears...

My 8spd with 3.92 is softer than a baby's ass. LOVE it.

I had the same issue. It has just recently started smoothing out. I'm actually really glad you said this. Makes me feel a lot better.

My truck ate a semi mudflap on the highway. Came flying off his truck and hit my front bumper, luckily he seen it and stopped to exchange information. Didn't cost me a dime, but it sure sucked. Was on my way to training and had to go another 3 hours with a messed up bumper and fender liners making all sorts of noise in the wind. Now I have dash cam.
