Can anyone give me the best reason to choose between a bully dog or diablo tuner for my 12' big horn?:hmm:

Diablo has the ability for custom tunes. The Bullydog doesn't.

Ya you've only got 3 choices with Bully Dog. I'm having a pretty hard time seeing how anything could be better than the premium setting on my Bully Dog.
I can not get my truck to hook up. I don't know what DS can offer beyond that. My 305-45-R22 just sit and spin. Until I let off the skinny pedal.
Now I agree from April until now I hated it, but with mods and air flow it's night and day.

Here is another question along this line. Is it a waste of money to buy a tuner if ya don't have an aftermarket exhaust or CAI??? Can ya really benefit from them without the other enhancements???

Bully Dog, no none what so ever, well if you want to spend $540 to turn your seat belt chim off, your speed control and your tire spin.
If I hadn't added the Vararam, 87mm TB and Mufflex delete I would have never gotten anything out of that BD.
When I added it back in April as my second mod after debadging it, my truck was a ****, would barely spin the tires even power breaking it. I was sick.

Is this for a CTD or hemi?

If Cummins go H&S (race tuner) or EFI Live. H&S has a convenient trans tuning option for newer trucks. My understanding is EFI is still beta on 2010+ trucks.

With the DPF attached your gains will be modest. Without and tuned correctly you'll be amazed how much git up and go your 8K pound truck has....

Judging by the original posters forum name, I'm guessing he has a 5.7L HEMI. I'm also running a HEMI, just a 6.4L HEMI. Lhemi you should go test drive one of these. I can smoke my tires very easily with being all stock still.
