I purchased my truck used, so I do not have the Uconnect system. Do I have over options to turn it off? My truck is 2017 1500. I looked under the settings and no option for 911 assist

the 911 thing would be at the bottom of your interior Mirror

The Ram 1500's assist button is located on the rearview mirror and can be used to connect to Uconnect Care for support and assistance. The assist button can be used for a number of purposes.

There is a Monthly Service Charge
Inside your Radio, there is an AIR CARD
The Air Card is a Direct Connection to RAM HEADQUARTERS & they charge for that connection

Use your Cell Phone & your Laptops Internet connection instead
Uconnect is unnecessary & over priced
-----------------------------------------

I just Pair my cell phone to the radio & just use Bluetooth, for hands free usage

I believe Uconnect is only available on the 2018 and newer, as the older radio is 3G?

Uconnect Guardian may have started in 2018, i don't know
Sirius runs it, i guess

But i could have had Uconnect back when i bought my 2009 Brand New
Sirius was not part of it back then

I used to connect my to the 2009 Dodge Ram Radio.

i think that i typed this all right ?

==================================

But i also had an Internet connection in the truck.
I could then go into MAPS on my Laptop & i could do anything with the Laptop as long as i stayed within 25 feet of the 2009 Dodge Ram.

Chrysler's FIRST internet Hot Spot

I did not see the monthly pricing for a Hot Spot
LEAR now owns it
