Just an update on my truck. I finally took it in to the dealer Tuesday August 20. Here it is Friday August 23 and they still have my truck with no resolution in site. They're telling me they may have to replace the unit now. This is really crazy how they're getting away with this. How difficult is it to fix this issue?

If they replace it, please let us know the "application version" of the new radio from the dealer menu.

Will do. They had to order it so it’s going to be next week before it comes in. They did tell me that they don’t think it’s going to fix the issue. Needless to say I’m not very happy as I type this.

Temp Up + Temp Down + Front Defrost for 6-10 secs

I took my truck in to the dealership shortly after the update occurred last year and they replaced my radio but they put in the exact make and model radio that was already in there and it had the same issues. They have to put in a difference year or model radio that didn't have the update already downloaded in it.

I did a little research and it looks like they are finally forcing the March update onto my unit. I kept saying no.

So what happens? Next time you drive your truck does it forego giving you the choice to refuse the update and simply start downloading it?

Are you frickin kidding me? I received an email saying that my radio was going to be getting and update to correct some back up camera and 911 issues. That's what screwed it up in the first place. Where is the damn update that's going to fix the crap they screwed up in the first place?

Well, I was hoping to return to this forum with some good news but........ I'm still waiting on a new radio to come in. Was told it would be 3 to 4 days but its been 3 weeks so far. I can only imagine the sh*@ show it's going to be when the new radio doesn't fix the issue. This is totally unbelievable.

Four weeks and counting. Was just told the radios are on backorder and they have no idea when they will be available. I'm guessing they know there is no fix for this issue and this is just a delay.

I have a 2014 ram never had update done if i update will it effective my truck?

I asked this question last week but didn't get a response. I just traded my 2018 Ram for a 2019, the radio sounds like crap, just like my 18 did after last years update. I downloaded the update fix that was posted in here in my 18 and it fixed it. Would I be able to download that same update into my 19?

As far as I'm aware, the only effected radios are 2018 -2019 radios with Apple Carplay.
