Just picked up a used 2016 PW, and wow, very impressed. Even the mileage is acceptable for what it is.
I cant get over the ride, I previously had a Nissan titan with a level kit, and it rode harsher.
The 6.4, again, wow. My last Ram, was a 3500, my wife hated it because of the ride, she loves this one.....Happy wife,,,happy life.
All I am looking forward to doing is adding some off road lighting, which, it would be nice if we could incorporate the switches into the dash, in a similar way that Ford allows for.

I was forced to drive the PW up north to work(4hrs), and found the washboard roads felt a little more skittish than normal, so I am pondering suspension shock choices.
What would be an economical solution to better shocks, and please keep in mind, dropping more than 1k is a lot of money for shocks IMO, and, selection here in Canada isn't as plentiful as down across the boarder. Anything we get up here is inflated beyond reachable for the average stiff.
I would love to try out a Carli system, but, its just not in the cards financially.
I noticed that the dealer I bought from, left the nice yellow shocks on the front, and replaced with a generic shock on the rear(they're new but questionable). So if I am to replace them , I may as well upgrade them all.......any suggestions will be pondered over a few smooth shots of Makers...cheers

Welcome.

Yup, 6.4L Hemi is a good motor up to app. 10,000 lb trailer load. Then ya need diesel torque. I have been quite pleased with my 2017.

Just beware of Hemi valve lifter lubrication issue. See Synthetic Oil thread for pages on it. Also, get rid of your transmission oil cooler thermostat.

I guess I need to edjemecate myself, I have never heard of the trans oil cooler T-stat.
Besides the obvious, why in the world would we need to regulate the temp on a trany, isn't it still ,"the cooler the better"
as for lifter noise, are you saying that synthetic is a good thing or bad. I am pro-synthetic, but maybe I've been missing something.

My first trip was to Banff, 4hrs on the highway, and still had 3/8 tank of fuel ....calling that a win.View attachment 477057
Depends what you are looking for off-road lights. You could just merge them into existing lights.
Or add switch.

For shock question. there are some preferred vendors on the site, but they are US based. very helpful companies/people.
But by the time you pay for shipping, duty, customs. Likely be better to buy them locally. There are few Canadian based
Online companies, if you are doing work yourself, or have someone to do it for you.
search partsengine (they have most of popular brands), there are others as well. At least one based in Alberta but I forgot their name.

Thanks, I hadn't given the local guys much thought when it comes to manufacturing shocks, as they are not in all the different forums and really unknown, compared to the highly publicized companies out there, but I did locate a local performance suspension shop here in Sherwood Park, AB. I will be calling on them soon to discuss my options .

Sorry I didn't actually mean buying shock made here. Just Online sites in Canada sell popular brands.
tdotperformance is another Canadian based site, purchased many different things from them.

Had good experience with both sites. Mostly parts for my Jeep.

You will find a lot of help on this in the Power Wagon forum on this site. Rear track bar sounds like what you need, but check that forum out and you’ll see more. Welcome to the PW world, loving mine!
