Unequal bed width?

Truck is a 2017 2500 CTD 4x4 shortbed.
Ok here are a couple of pics of a board I made up to keep stuff from sliding around the pickup bed. It fits perfectly in the rear-most slots of the bed-liner. I was going to use it in the front slots the other day and low and behold...the bed is wider at the front.
Are the beds really wider in front? Or am I just loosing it?

That’s not the actual bed, it’s a drop in plastic liner. They aren’t really manufactured to tight tolerances and warp very easily.

My 2018 Quadcab 1500 is wider at the front which really fooled me when I bought a Gator recoil rolling bed cover and tried to install it. I thought they sent me the wrong one but then I was informed by the manufacturer that there are adapter parts in the box that make it fit at the front.

Normal. Beds are wider at the front than the rear. 100% normal on all trucks.
