I see the brake dust inside the rim, I’m referring to the close to the lip of the rim where the bead of the tire and lip of the rim, should of clarified a bit more

Looks like where a wheel weight was at one time.Did you have new tires put on recently,as very seldom do the wheel weights end up in the same spot with new tires.

That one black spot looks like you might have picked up a bit of grease from the road.

The backside of the wheels are not as well sealed as the face is. Try some light solvent/grease cleaner and see if it comes off.

All good thoughts I’ll try wiping it, as far as wheel weights like you said wild one I’m shocked when I had the new tires put on they used clamp on weights considering from the factory was only tape or strip weights used, I don’t know why they didn’t put what was on there after new tires were put on and balanced, I asked the question a bit back I posted a intermittent shimmy at 48-50 mph, I’m chasing it and can’t seem to get any answers, I’m not a parts thrower at it and can’t find a good technician , speaking that I was one with specialty in electrical diagnostics along with other licenses and never experienced anything like this owning or driving a car or a truck since I’ve been driving since ‘85, I feel as I’m getting I guess answers with some of these techs out there and feel that being played like I’m stupid or something like that, one says this fixed it with this others had to keep coming back and eventually a pain in the a$$ in which I don’t want to be. Please all be free to keep posting and I’ll follow up in my find with your thoughts and thank you.

like wild one said what you are asking about looks like the outline of an old wheel weight.

what is more interesting to me is what looks like bead sealer and possibly a crack in the rim? probably just excess bead sealer but there is absolutely no reason to use bead sealer unless there is problem with the rim or with the tire. maybe take another photo for us?20250702_215810.jpg

Hemihustlin I sure hope I don’t have a cracked rim, people installed the tires will be having a visit and a tech grabbed by the ears and explain how they did this
