So I am starting to plan some spring/after taxes mods. I need to do the plenum repair this bad gas mileage is killing me. I use this truck mainly to tow my camper and car trailers. My tranny is already built. I have a superchips 3715, my hood is functional as well and I have my DIY CAI.

Plan on getting this Plenum Plate

I am cheap, and I also have to give my wife a budget for these repairs. Trying to stick as little money into it as I can, as I am hoping to find a diesel, but still need to my truck to run good in the meantime. What else do you all suggest while I am in there?

According to this you'll need the plenum gasket and intake gasket. You'll also need a set of intake manifold bolts because they are the stretch to torque style. Figure a bit more for some heater and crossover hose(s). Hughes sells the complete kit of gaskets and bolts for 119 bucks.
If you havent done it Luke, this is great time to install a timing set as well.

Honestly, by the time you buy everything with that eBay plenum plate to do the job right, it would be cheaper to just pony up the $120 for the kit from Hughes, since it has the intake gaskets, bolts and now comes with a new bypass hose and thermostat.

If I were you I would go ahead and throw a new waterpump on, if you had never had to replace yours. Maybe timing chain and gears too.
