A stupid question but have to ask lol
I never tested the map lights when the truck was off.
I added LED bulbs to all the interior lights . All work fine
Tonight I was having a parking lot coffee/ BS session with a old work buddy !
Truck off I needed the map light for a minute.
With truck on they work normal !
Pushed the lens light barely lit up :O just a mild glow
Do they normally turn on ?
If not I assume the LEDS are picking up a trickle back feeding power ?
Or for some reason Leds not grabbing full power when truck is off !

Thanks

UPDATE changed the bulb on drivers side and now both lights function like they should

My 2016 is Stock
i'll step outside & check my MAP lights

BRB

They came on when i unlocked the door with my FOB
i waited a minute & then inserted the FOB in the ignition & started it up.
The map light stayed the same intensity, even when i removed the Fob

Even with LEDs in all the interior locations the map lights work normal with the truck on or off. Pushing the lens they light up bright anytime in my '15

I thought they would be full brightness even with the truck off !
Mine are dim when the truck is off but work normal when on :O
I'll reverse the bulbs to see if it is a polarity issue
Then try regular bulb,

Thanks guys

Is it possible they are polarity sensitive ? Maybe try turning them 180 and see if that works. Just a guess, but maybe worth a try.

I also was thinking it may be polarity ! And it may be possible ,but now I think of it with bad polarity usually a LED would not light at all ! BUT worth a shot to try. But waiting on my temos to get out of the 30* range lol

Changed the drivers side map light bulb and all back to normal both sides !
