I have already purchased the Kicker dash speakers, now I am looking to do the 4 doors in the truck. I really dont plan on doing an amp in the near future, but time will tell. So on that note what speakers (model# too would help) are in the front doors and the rear doors? Thanks in advance.

Plug and play kicker drop in speakers. Otherwise you have a ton of options.

I just added the drop in speakers that Etroze mentioned and I was ecstatic about how easy it was to install. The sound with the stock HU was much clearer but left me wanting to crank it up a little more. I'm definitely not content with just this change. Now that I've decided to add an amp, for the price I'm second guessing whether I should have gone 6.5. As many have mentioned there's a lot of other options out there. I was anxious for instant gratification but based on what has been said on many other posts there's online dealers who will include or sell you adapters and the price may still be less. I also found after the fact that there are other 6x9s out there that have a depth under 3"s that will fit the front doors. So in my opinion based on someone who was in your position a couple weeks ago, if you are even thinking about adding an amp then plan now. I'll have my amp and new HU installed by end of the week. I'll report out on whether I have buyers remorse at that time :).

part/model of this? I have not found any kickers that fit the front doors depth wise. Total n00b when it comes to this kind of stuff.:)

Look up kicker online and they have a drop down menu for factory replacements. I agree with what was posted above. If you are thinking of an amp down the road might want to start thinking about doing that first as most of our head units don't put out a clean signal above a certain volume.

My 77KICK42 are still On Order from Tasca Parts since the 8th. Please tell me they are worth it haha.

Those are not the factory upgrades, I put the 3 way Kicker 40CS6934 in the back doors and the Kicker 40CS654 in the front doors They are 6.5" round. I paid 169.00 for them and the install kits were free and the brackets for the 6.5's were free too. I cranked it up today and I was impressed! the speakers will handle 450 watts for the back and 300 watts for the fronts. I wanted it this way so that a later date if I wanted I could add an amp.

Yeah I realized that after I had posted but I figured I'd just leave it there.

Sounds nice though, hopefully I get the same quality. I heard the factory replacements were pretty good.

Crutchfield.com they threw in the factory wire harness adapters and the speaker adapter plate so the 6.5's would bolt in, $169 and change delivered to my door in 3 days! Free shipping too!

OP,

the speakers alone will get you a noticeable difference in clarity, and bass response depending on what music you listen to. I noticed a massive improvement with my alpine spe6090's I had in my 12. The only thing I would have done alittle differently now, would to have stuffed some of the poly fill in the speaker pods ( not the best sound proofing, but better then nothing at all. )
