Upgrading mirrors

Whats up guys im new to this ive had my ram for about a year now and i got a 13 ram 1500 express so ive done a couple of mods and the one i just did was that i got some ext. mirrors that came with turn signals and puddle lamps i now u can program to work but my main question is that these didnt come with a slot for the ambient air temperature sensor and my other mirrors did now my temperature says -40degrees when its almost 90 outside is there anyway i can add the ambient air temperature sensor to these new mirrors

I have never seen side mirrors with temperature sensor, why do you need it on the mirrors? Is it hard to read the number under in daylight? you may get a separate temp senor for that purpose.

Do a search - you'll find why that is happening. Your truck I'm assuming is a 2013+ truck (in those year trucks, the outside temp gauge was moved to the driver side mirror). My thoughts are that you swapped mirrors meant for a 2012 truck or lower...that is why you're having the issue. You need 2013+ mirrors for your 2013+ truck.
