Upper console lights not working

Had the truck 3 weeks and suddenly the courtesy lights in upper console no longer working. Truth be told they may have never worked due to fact I never really noticed due to not driving truck too much in the dark until lately. Rear window and sunroof still ok but no overhead lights. Fuses ok so any help appreciated. And yes, I did read owners manual to make sure I hadn’t missed a switch somewhere.

Minor issue. Like driving truck a lot more than the rentals.

Just got bad news about my overhead console problem. Connections have water on them from a leak. Water leak “specialist” called in tomorrow to determine how water is getting to connections. Not feeling real confident at this time about a truck that I have had for 6 weeks.

Since yer trim not noted, do U have like a high end Longhorn or Limited with the Sunroof? They R a known leak issue...Just a saying...

Laramie Sport with sunroof. Not feeling good after reading your comment. Haven’t seen evidence of water inside cabin and all other buttons minus lights still function

^^^^^^^^^^ WHY I would neva own a vehicle with a sunroof, with the exception of the Bandit Trans AM............lol

Them thangs all leak, just IMHO.......

And search threads here, reports on leaking, just saying FYI....

But the trucks themselves r AWESOME

Got good news and bad news today on leak-good news leak was found and turned out to be a crimp in left side sunroof drain. Technician fixed problem and no more leak. Bad news- water had rusted connector for lights and unless FCA has a replacement for the pin itself they are going to have to replace complete harness. Hoping for least of two bad news es (not sure that is a word but you get my drift)

Well hopefully yer Dealer and FCA make good and U get all repaired and squared away. Like I said in my lil post, why I neva would have it, BUT that is My Opinion...

MAYBE a shout to Ram cares also may help. Lots of sorted opinions, do WHAT WORKS best for U.

Harness connectors are being replaced-FCA fortunately makes them and are easy to replace per dealer. Have worked with this dealership for a while with other cars and have been pleased over the years. Have kept me up to date on each step and am picking up tomorrow. BTW not a big fan of sun roofs either but came with truck that I wanted on lot

Sounds like you have a resolution coming, outstanding, check that upper lining ref water and mold, to be sure OK or have them replace also, if possible, yer call.
