Does anyone have a spare tire mount that mounts the tire upright against the front of the box or along the side rail? Trying to talk myself into 37's, but do not want it hanging off the back or laying flat (takes up too much room). I have been trying to find something I could use to secure to the front of the box or to the box rail (non-rambox bed). AEV is an option, but still takes up a lot of room if you take the spare out (and need the entire bed floor). Pictures would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Art

Look at SDHQ or 454 motor sports. They have two nice options that are removable.

the other option is just run a 35" spare which will fit underneath and if you get a flat just put it up front and drive easy until you get to a place to fix the flat.

I didn’t like the stock location but I wanted to have my full bed for a bed so I built a hidden removable one I don’t carry my spare all the time only when I am going far from home it was a fun project but if I were to do it again I would do some things different check my thread

I checked the 454 out looks like it would be fairly simple to build something like it I don’t like the bolting it to the bed though probably a pain in the back to remove

It’s two pins and the cage comes out. The mounts are what’s bolted to bed floor. You never have to get under the truck it’s a one man job. Once you remove tires and stuff from cage lol

Just avoid getting a flat on a Sunday around Moab since any nearby place to fix it won't be open until Monday. Wal-Mart in Grand Junction is the closest, but then it's a 220 mile and 3 1/2 hour round trip.

I extended the rear hitch so i can fit the 37 under the bed
I would like some more info and pics of this. Intriguing!

I didnt think there was enough side to side room between the frame rails.
