Hi i have a 2014 with the smaller touch screen with bluetooth, I can connect my phone for calles but cant get it to play music when I go into the media section it just says connected and the USB and audio jack in the center console / seat wont connect but will charge. Any ideas?

And then you tried to connect your phone via a UPS cable to play music and it won't play music?

Correct cant play over USB or bluetooth but my phone connect via bluetooth for phone calls, the aux cable port also wont work I have tried multiple phones and cables

What file format is your music?

Is it in mp3 format?

I've been trying to use just streaming or my ipod
I will say it wont even recognize a usb device has been plugged in says no usb detected

I had the smaller touchscreen in my truck and it would connect and disconnect all the time. I ended up just replacing it with a aftermarket radio and never looked back

I'm having a problem in the same area in my 2014 Laramie, 8.4(?) With nav.

I can use Bluetooth with the Uconnect, works music and phone. But when I try the USB in the center console, it doesn't work. It gives me a message, but I don't recall exact verbage.

If your phone is playing music Bluetooth, but not plugged in to usb, turn Bluetooth off, I think the signal gets confused in the radio, had same problem with my 13 ram
