Anyone running this set up? I found a truck I am interested in but it's about an hour away so not real easy to run over and test drive. Before I take the time I'd like to hear opinions on guys running this set up. I currently have a hemi and 35" with 3:21 gears and have no complaints. I know some guys say they'd rather have the lower gear ratio but I'm just driving it, not racing it.

The listing doesn't state tire size and I am leaning towards them being 37"

I can't imagine running 37's with just a V6. Seems like it would struggle off the line.

If you’re wanting 37’s stick with a v-8

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

V-6 engine at 300 hp and 5 spd or 6 spd trans will struggle to deal with that size tire. 8 spd trans might be better but first 4 gears will shift fast. Exhaust sound will be horrible. Could be wrong, but maybe that is the reason it is for sale.

Good luck with that. Everyone has their opinion and you really need to drive it to see how you feel. I have 35x12.5 with 321 rear hemi and I hate it. I would much much prefer the 392. I don't race or drive my truck hard. But if I want to get up and go I want to get up and go. 321 does just ok in my book. But again, everyone is different. You said 321 v8 was fine.

Just an update. I currently have 35's with the hemi and 3:21 gears and no complaints. Also I do not want 37's.

The truck I was looking at was already built and it had 35's with the V6, 3:55 gears and the 8 speed trans. It was a sharp truck at a decent price I probably would have paid but it had been sold before I contacted the dealership, they just hadn't updated their website.
