I just got a letter in the mail, titled vehicle service agreement.

I am the second owner of my truck, so I am confused about this.

Letter says I have Platinum coverage, and power train coverage. It expires in 11 days, and I currently have something wrong with my truck I beleive.

Now to clear my confusion, is this from dodge or what? There is no business on here, it only says Mail to registered owner of dodge.

so how are you supposed to use it if you don't know how it is through? Sounds like it could possibly be junk mail

Ive been getting these in the mail the past few months, as I mentioned I am not the original owner, so I have no clue what extended warranties he purchased.

Im going to call the number on the paper and see what company it is. Hopefully its dodge and I can get my truck in there to fix my clunk.

As a warranty clerk in a previous job what I recommend you do is this:
1) Contact Chrysler with your vin at the ready and ask what the "in service date" is of your truck.
The "in service date" is the original date that your truck was FIRST PURCHASED thereby enacting the start of the 3/36,000 warranty.
2) How many miles are on your truck?
3) Be aware that the limited offer of "lifetime powertrain warranty" is a restricted offer only offered to the FIRST owner. Once the vehicle is resold, the offer is recanted.
4) Did you purchase any extended warranty when you purchased the vehicle?

Start there and see where it leads you. Best of luck.

So you are saying you didn't purchase any kind of extended warranty? I would say this sounds like a phishing scam. Even if the original owner bought an extended warranty, it wouldn't carry over to you. Best of luck with that clunking sound.

Yes, I did not purchase one. Which is exactly what makes me think there is an existing one. Yet after calling them they say I don't have one but the offer to buy one is about to expire.

yupp its just a company trying to get you to buy a coverage plan that covers nothing. all they want is a check from you every month. just throw it in the trash.

I still get those type of letters for mine, the best ones are the pay a few bucks and we will cover anything that goes wrong. They stopped when I got board one day and called them saying hey will yall cover my truck and listed off what had been done. They guy said hell no and hung up.

My wife does service orders at a shop and has to deal with those companys to pay customers bills. Nothing is covered and they never want to use new parts. Its a shame there companys out there trying to screw everyone over.
