Have a 2017 1500 limited with the air suspension and 17k miles. I have suffered since new with vibrations above 65-75 mph. I have had the tires balanced several times. The dealership said that they balanced the tires...again and all was well they said. Nothing seemed to help. So with only these low miles on the original tires, I purchased 4 new ones in hopes that the problem is gone, it is not. The vibrations are intermittent. They come at 65 mph at times, other at around 75 mph. They last sometimes for a couple of minutes or an hour or more and not at all times. They came and go. Am I the only out there that is suffering from this?

You are not alone! I suffered with intermittent vibrations since my 2016 1500 Tradesman regular cab long bed 4x4 came home. I've tried several sets of tires and wheels, front lift front back down and at every speed. Five different front alignments from three different shops. I understand there's no Mopar shop that admits to it. Always blames the owner

Have you guys tried Road Force Balancing? BD58 you sound like a good candidate for RFB. Also did they check your wheels for straightness before installing the new tires? Its rare but its still possible that you might have a slightly bent rim. The most important issue that I've seen is that very few places know how to properly balance a tire with dealerships being some of the worst. I had a tire balanced at my local Firestone about 6 mos ago and it was the worse balance job I've ever seen in my life. Also any kind of offroad tire will exasperate the problem so don't think that by trading the stock Goodyears for a set of KO2's that your going to get a better, smoother if anything its going to be a lot worse.

Yes RFB on every set of wheel and tire combination I've tried. There are several people on this forum that experience the same issues

Same thing happened to me after a tire rotation at the dealership. It was a nightmare.. My new tires had approximately 10-12k miles on them at the time. They were smooth as silk when I first got them on but once they switched the fronts to the rear vibrations kicked in over 65mph. Afterwards, I went to two different shops to re balance (dealership / mom & pop shop), but the problem persisted. I almost threw in the towel and figured I would need new rims and tires, but then I decided to balance one more time. The third (mom & pop) shop I went to called me back to their machine. They showed me my previous balance was actually a counter balance. Meaning the last shop never took my old weights off. They had simply added more weights on the opposite side of the rim to what was already on there. This process fooled their machine to read 0.0 which is a perfect balance. Meanwhile, this also caused three of my rims to hop on a hub centric machine. The shop then offered to remove all the weights and perform lug centric balance. I'm amazed how smooth the truck runs all the way up to where the governor kicks in. Needless to say this shop will forever service all of my tire needs, as long as they keep getting it right.

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 Laramie LongHorn with a 8' bed. It was custom ordered fully loaded. Within 300 miles we noticed a vibration, tires out of balance. We took it back for a cosmetic buckle replacement and they said to drive it a while before trying to balance the tires. We live 1 hour away and it was not high on the priority list so now we have 7000 miles in almost a year. A recall came out for the drag link so while they had it for that we asked to balance the tires again. Tires were in limits of force balancing. The vibration was still there from 63 mph to top end. Took it back and the tech rode with me on fresh pavement and felt the vibration. Left it for a week and then received the call, we need to have a meeting. They and the Ram engineers believe it to be in the leaf springs and there is no fix.... but try putting 300 pounds in the bed and try that. I am waiting on the dealer and area Ram rep to speak up about this issue. I am very dishearten about our truck. This was the nicest trucks we ever bought at $73,000.00 I purchase a new 2500 HD every 6 years for work but have never had a personal truck.

After getting the call I looked on line and there are hundreds of complaints about this issue, not to be confused with the Dodge Death Wobble. Is there any cure or does this truck become just another one of hundreds on the used car lot?

Do you have wheel locks as one of the lugs?

I had the same problem with my 1500 (I now have a power wagon) and it immediately went away when I removed them

Are you saying you had a vibration... removed your wheel lock lugs on each wheel, replaced with regular lug and vibration went away?

My 2018 Ram also has the vibration. Feels just like a tire out of balance. Started complaining at 160 miles on my custom built $75,000.00 Laramie Longhorn. Dealership has balanced tires, replace rims and tires and forced balanced. Everyone admits it has a vibration. I now have 9,000 miles on my truck and I hate to drive it. I met with the area Ram rep at the dealership and he told me that the vibration was normal, offered me a free oil change for my trouble. The new 19's have a vibration dampener mounted on the frame. I am just sick about this. The ones that we test drove had no issues.

I have a 2018 2500 Laramie. Since the day I bought it last November I've had the vibration issue at highway speeds. Speeds around 65-75. I do mostly highway driving throughout the week. The vibration isn't all the time which ****** me off even more. It makes me wonder what could be causing the issue...

I traded in my 2017 2500 Tradesman for the current truck and never had vibration issues. I honestly wish I never traded in that truck. I thought with getting a higher trim level maybe it would be a better truck, but that's not the case.

I also lived about 1 hour away from the dealer I bought it at and drove back and forth multiple times to have them correct the issue.
They had no idea what was causing it. At one point they had the truck for over for a week, and I feel like they did absolutely nothing. They say they balanced and rotated them. They wanted me to inflate the tires over max PSI and drive for 500 miles to see if that would change anything.. It didn't..

I ended up going to another shop to se if they could fix the issue but they couldn't.

After about 2 months of fighting with the dealership They put on a set of brand new tires and the issue is still there.

I've had the truck for about 10 months now and I'm not happy with the truck...

I recently purchased new tires from my local Discount Tire and I realized that the wheels have been rotated around. After they put on the Nitto Grappler G2's, the truck vibrates so hard after 55MPH, it almost feels like it's shaking. I called them immediately on the way home and the rep sounded pretty confused as he said this shouldn't be happening with these tires. Could they have also not noticed the weights and thus creating and off balance? I know it's an AT tire, but if that's the way they will always drive I'll certainly be replacing them.

Biggdadd58,
Have you figured out your 1500 shaking issue? I have the same damn problem and it makes me want to roll it into the swamp. All of my equipment is stock. Thanks

I’m right there with you man. I bought Nitto ridge grapplers in stock size. Have vibrations and 60mph+. It’s not consistent, comes and go. Brought it to dealer, they tried to blame it on my aftermarket exhaust.

I found a local shop that does road force and lug centric balance. Calling them tomorrow, gonna tell them to rip off all the weights and start fresh. Hopefully it helps. I will report back here.

Just got the truck in January and I’m starting to hate driving this anymore.
