Hi All,

First post here on this forum. I'm an owner of my first ever, new truck. I"ve always driven a truck but its always been used. I did a ton of research and between ability, yearly upkeep costs, MPG, and power, I went with the 2014 Ram 1500 with 5.7 and 8 speed trans. Its a gunmetal colored, Express Quad Cab.

I'm loving it thusfar, but I wanted to ask... I paid the extra bit to have the truck warranteed bumper to bumper until 100k miles from NATIONAL.

Dodge warrantees to 3yr/36k I believe, and National covers the rest.

What mods can I do that will not, WITHOUT A DOUBT, void my warrantee?

I like the 20" wheels. I like the stance/height. I'm ok with all of that.

If I had it my way I'd install K&N Air Intake kit that I see on ebay, and I'd like a FlowMaster muffler. Are those 2 items ok?

Thanks, and look forward to your answers, as long as they are NOT guesses. Hoping to hear from someone thats done the research or has been down this road. Thanks again.

Welcome! It really depends on your dealer. I work at a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram dealer in the service department and I always let bolt on modifications slide. The only issue you may run into is if the modification is causing the concern you are experiencing, or when the vehicle is out of basic warranty the extended warranty asks if there are modifications. If mods are present they will void the service contract.
