Was this bedliner worth the price?

Hey all, I been looking for a bedliner and finally found a 6 5ft liner. I have to cut out two more holes for my bed rails and straighten up the right corner. For now, I have some bricks and some string so it dont fly away. Came with the tailgate liner and tailgate cap. It only cost me $50 bucks .

No, drop-in bedliners do not protect your bed from moisture under the liner. Also they will slide and move and cause the paint to come off which can cause rust.

For your question, I'd say yes it was worth the price for $50. But I personally don't like drop in liners, have had a few over the years and for my last 3 trucks have had spray in liners and am much happier with them. But won't get one for $50 LOL.

For a 2008, I'm sure it will be just fine. I think they offer way more protection than having nothing back there. I'm looking for a similar deal but in an 8-foot bed. I've seen countless deals for the shorter beds in used tonneau covers (hard and soft), bed liners etc.

This is actually the first one I came across which was in decent shape. For my usage it will work out great. Throwing my kayak in , appliances and some lumber. The bed has already taken a beaten.

hmmm as others stated moisture gets trapped under there and the constant vibration with rust your bed pretty good (happened to my old ranger) but for about $50 you can go to napa/autozone/oriellys and get the DIY bedliner. I ended up doing that to my ranger and it was great.

I know it's an older thread, but seeing the pics of your liner held in with bricks reminded me of a story. We once ordered 4 liners from a wholesaler, and he said they'd drive them right over. Well we got a call 1/2 hour later saying that they were no longer in stock and we'd have to wait a few days till they had them. Turns out as he drove over the Port Mann bridge, a gust of wind got under the liners and peeled them out of the truck one by one as he drove across. They went straight over the side and landed in the Fraser river about 150 feet below. He had thrown a couple of railroad ties on top of them figuring it would be enough weight to keep them in.
