So I got my truck washed last night and this morning when I went outside I noticed drip marks inside both headlights. It looks like the water got in from the top somewhere and ran down the inside of the lens. I'm not a happy camper right now. I took some pics. It its really hard to see it with the chrome housings in the pics but its VERY noticeable in person. Any ideas of a way to get rid of the marks? I'm assuming I'm gonna have to take the lights apart and wipe them out?

I would look very close at the seams to find any separation and make sure there is no damage.
If there is no damage from rocks, bumps… I would have the dealer call it a manufacturer’s defect and replace it under warranty. As soon as you start fiddling with it, they may choose not to cover it.

They aren't sealed correctly..Only way to fix those marks would be to take the lens off and clean and reseal them good afterwards..Truck under warranty still?

Make them warranty it! Spray it down at the dealer and let them watch it fog up haha
I've seen multiple threads about the 13' headlights fogging up after it rains etc..They either aren't sealed up correctly around the lens or have a bad breathing/air venting design

If they do replace it, Run some silicone around the lens on the new set, Because the new ones will prob do the same exact thing

See that's the weird part tho. This is the first time they've leaked since I got the truck and that was the 6th time its been washed. So I **** know if I'll be able to duplicate it at the dealer

i saw that your mod list says you have HID's. Make shure they are sealed on the back of them where you had to drill for the harnes to go thru at.

I'm really not too willing to put my lights in the oven. I'm hoping the dealer will take care of it

I was skeptical too about the headlights in the oven. But it's not that bad. Just leave them in there for 10-15 minutes at 250 and then boom, wrap it all up tightly then bang no problems.

Maybe I'll give it a shot if I can't get the dealer to warranty it

You installed the hids though - drilled the caps? Removed hids - still got holes in the caps?

Umm its a 2013 dont leave the dealer till you get a new set of lights theres no if they do its 100% covered. And if you have hid's REMOVE THEM before you go or they will blame you for installing them wrong

I did install them with holes in the caps but when I took the lights out I sealed the holes so water doesn't get in. But that's why I'm looking for new caps before I go to the dealer so they don't blame that.

And also the water marks are coming from the very top of the lens running down the inside of the lens. Its not on the chrome backing at all

gotcha.

Man, if I have a spare non drilled set.....I'd just swap for your drilled ones. I drill them before I retro these things anyway - but......nothing here at the moment that isn't in the works for a customer.

Yeah I wouldn't even mind doing that if you or someone had them to swap. I could always just redrill them when I'm ready to do the lights again. I'm trying to get my friends father to let me borrow his to take it to the dealer but he's not really liking the idea of taking his lights out. Hopefully I can get a set to use soon.

very lucky. I can bet for sure it wasnt sealed 100%. That happened to mine. I didnt seal the hole in the cap and I had a ton of fogging on the lens with water spots afterwards.
