I have asked this question before, but here goes once more to see if anyone has run into this. I have a 2010 Ram 2500 with the 5.7 Hemi that I purchased new. This problem has been with the truck since I went through my first winter.

When it is extremely cold out, like -25 C the truck starts and runs great. I can run it maybe 30-40 miles, shut it off to run into a store or get gas, and when I try to restart, it will crank just fine but may not start. Sometimes I may have to let it sit for 45 minutes to an hour, and when I return to the truck it starts just like a summer day. Sometimes I am lucky, and it will crank, I turn the key off and try again, or the third time, and it will finally start.

I have taken it to my purchasing dealer numerous times on the problem, and nothing was ever found. I took it to a different dealer after it happened the last time, and they said it threw a code, and replaced the PCM. Truck appeared to run great after replacement, perhaps even better than new.

Well it got cold again last night, so I drove the wife to work,(about 45 minutes drive) shut it off when I ran into a store, and it fired fine when I came out. Drove home, 45 minutes, shut it off to open the garage door, and it was very reluctant to start 2 minutes later. Took several tries before it would fire and run. There is only 73000 k (40,000 miles) on the truck.

I am beyond frustrated. What would you do? Six winters of not driving my truck on a cold day.

check the fuel pump relay. had that problem too.
another problem could be the engine fuse (on my old one it was #10) - had that too- was a intermittent contact- but this issue let me stranded as I drove over a hump and the vehicle cut off. cranked but did not start. after my wife was there to pick me up I tried again and it started. had to replace the TIPM.
not that it is the problem but worth the check.

I have an intermittent starting problem with my 2017 hemi 5.7 Laramie. It may go a week or 2 before it happens or it may happen every 2-3 days and then go weeks. No codes returned. It will wind like it isn't getting any fuel for 5 -7 seconds and stop then try again and it may wind for 10 seconds then start up and be fine for a week or so. Dealership is lost had for 2 days last week checking fuel pressure but was good. I picked it up on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon it happened again.
Any Help would be appreciated.

I built this cable and tested my fuel pump relay. It is a relay installed permanently on the TIPM.
