well its finally coming along

i placed an order thru performancelifts.com for a CST 4" spindle lift. It comes with 4" front spindles w/ brakelines and 1.5" rear spacers. I opted to retain the factory shocks for now. Im going to be running procomp xtreme all terrains in a 305/65r16 flavor. i had bought these tires for a chevy truck that i have around christmas time. I couldnt see myself buying another set so i put the factory wheels back on the chevy and decided to run them on the dodge. I ordered MB Motoring Chaos 5 wheels in 17x8.5 -6 offset wheels today. Silver in color. I think it will look good. Next year or when these tires wear out I will order the rest of the CST kit that makes it a full 7" lift, 3" front springs/shocks, swap out the 1.5" spacer for a 4" spacer. And then some nice 20x10 and 35's No pics right now but i will soon.

you can't run 16" tires on 17" wheels, and if you meant to say 16" wheels you can't run 16" wheels on newer rams with out grinding the calipers.

It is going to look sweet...when you get ready, call performance lifts ask for Jeff, tell him the site where you post, he will direct you to the front SPACERS, the springs are for the 4.7, the spacers he will provide will make it perfect, then get the rear kit, it has the drop bracket for the trailing arm in the back,here is the rear kit

i have talked to CST a few times and they changed some stuff up on the 2013. their 7" lift is not the spacers in the front anymore it is a new coil spring for the HEMI trucks only. I was quoted 800 for what i need to make it a full 7" lift in the future. Its going under the knife monday. stay tuned for pics!

I continually tempt myself with the idea of a 4" lift / rear air (to level it and keep it level if I ever load it up)

^^^ hey dont hate... i wish i could afford the 7" and 35s. the lift came in today. the spindles i ordered are the cast ones and they are HEAVY. very well built. absolutely dont hesitate on them. the rear billet spacers are nice as well. its going in the shop monday morning.

i tried the wheels/tires on for size

they are 305/65R17 on 17x8.5 wheels with 4.5" backspacing

no rub at all.

pictures kinda suck, it was getting late and they didnt come out real good. its still going in monday for the lift. stay tuned.

well here is a teaser! i picked it up last night around 9pm and went to the alignment shop around 7am. it is almost level. i think the front is a little bit higher than the rear. i went with 4" spindles up front and 1.5" optional spacer for the rear. they wanted to sell me a 1" but i asked for 1.5" i think it could use a 2" spacer. oh well still looks good. the driveway in the pic is not level so it looks worse. i can deffently fit a 35" tire now! but i have brand new 33"s oh well more burnouts will cure that!
