I love my SuperChips Cortex 3950 tuner. I am using the 91 octane performance tune/ with SuperChips trans. shift schedule. I run 93 octane fuel in my truck.
I have a Predator Programmer from Diablosport. I using the 91 octane tune with a K&N Filter. I think the throttle response is better and it feels like it has more torque from low rpm. The gas mileage is worse but in comparison to my friends 2005 1500 Hemi with no tuner my RAM is a lot faster and stronger
What are your plans for the truck? If you plan on doing more than just an exhaust and CAI I would go with a Diablo tuner so you have the ability to custom tune. If not, then Superchips is supposed to have better canned tunes than Diablo
The superChips tuner are very good and reliable. However as stated above the Diablo Sports allow to run custom tunes. The only reason I run a SCT is because it was the only one supporting my 4.7L in my '02.
So deciding whether or not you will be modding the engine will greatly influence your selection.
However, even if you are planning on remaining stock, I have only heard awesome things about a DS tuner with a Hemifever tune. Wakes your truck up like no other tune can.
Depends on your need, I have a bully dog hemi plus, but have moved up to a trinity 1000 and hemifever custom tune. The bully dog is a great starter tuner as it has preloaded tunes already set for your application, the trinity has preloaded tunes plus the ability to store up to 10 custom tunes.
