Just got the aem for EcoDiesel exhaust done along with new extended warranty for class action suit. Thanks to ramforum I preemptively bought the pedal commander. Just as everyone has been saying... my truck was a dog after I got it back. Even laggier than before. Since then I put the pedal commander on and it’s amazing now! Super responsive. Great product! I’d recommend it to anyone looking to get rid of gas pedal lag!

Took the Ram for a drive to the Casino around 4am this morning, wife woke up and wanted to go "now" so who am i to say no to her. Well all was normal for an early morning drive, no one on the road except for me and every bug on the planet! Do they have no mercy? All this happened in a quarter mile stretch of highway. The windshield looks like the mirror! My wife is still laughing! Got to love the Sacramento valley.

When I left for work yesterday I noticed my driver’s side low beam is out. Since the tried & true method of tapping on the headlight housing didn’t get it to magically turn on, I ordered a set of replacement ballasts & HID bulbs from retroshop. I should’ve had spares but kept putting off ordering them. Hopefully they arrive before I get pulled over.

Check the connections... I had the same issue thought my ballast was going bad even though it was plugged in to the ballast still was out had to really wrench it on then ziptied it tight hasnt gone out since.

White plastidip'd the upper bumper. I couldn't take the ugly black plastic anymore. Came out perfect for what I expect plastidip to yield for results. I didn't do anything except wipe it clean, there's so much damage to that thing it wasn't worth anything more than the semi clean rag I used to smear the bugs off with. Used 4 cans total, 1 can of the gun metal grey to prime over the black, 2 cans white and 1 can gloss stuff. Looks good from 10' and that's all I wanted until I figure out my bumper situation. For 25$ I can't complain and it matched pretty damn ok. I love cheap mods.

I thought about it but not sure how it will look against a full painted panel. I am looking into vinyl wrap color match, but that black upper bumper had to go and I couldn't wait.

Which one do you like better? Can you tell a difference between the two? Sound, performance wise

I have only put about 50 miles on it since the install so I don’t have a good comparison yet. Honestly I believe the K and N system was louder.

I’ll post my opinion after I have run this for a few weeks.

And to answer your question: about an inch on each side when mirrors are in

Wasn't sure if that opening was really small or just an optical illusion...wow, an inch either way is tight! I bet driving in traffic is fun over there!

Wife took my truck to work today. I go outside and this nice present was left in my driveway. Guess I’m crawling under her tonight when she gets home. :banghead: “The truck not the wife” lololol

Anyone else have maintenance tips for guys putting major miles on their new truck? I bought it for work and I'm putting 500+ miles on it a week. I want this bad boy to last long. It's 90% commute miles with not too much stop and go stuff.

If you bought it brand spanking new. (And this is just me).

After about 1500 miles. I go around every fluid which lubes rotating parts and change it. I also change filters. So:

Change oil and filter
Change tranny oil and filter
Change transfer case oil (if 4x4)
Change all diff oils

I do this because the first couple thousand miles of a brand new truck, will have higher wear. I actually like to put the first 2k miles on a truck as soon as possible. Because then I can change all the oils, and get all of the new "break in" bits outtakes there lol.

But aside from that. Just regular maintenance. These trucks are strong. Keep oil in it. Keep coolant in it, and keep gas in it. Lol.

I ordered some detail goodies for the truck yesterday.
Nanoskin 7"x 7" clay mitt, Nanoskin Glide Lubricant for claying and Meguairs Spray Wax. Went with Meguairs Spray Wax because it is super, super friendly for use in the sun and I don't have much shade in the driveway. I don't want to be moving the truck every 30 minutes when doing the detail work. lol
