So are you using the old key for lock/unlock and remote start?

Yes. This amazon key has no buttons or transmitter. It only has the tiny induction powered transponder chip that the WIN module uses to secure the ignition.

I still use the stock FOB for doors ,remote start, and as a backup ignition key.

My truck came with 2 fobs. Later, i bought a Mopar remote start kit, which came with 2 fobs. Now, ive got the 2 amazon mini keys. I programmed them all to my truck.

Ive, got 6 keys programmed to this truck as of now.

I haven't done much exciting with mine lately.

Moved a friend, cause you know, I am the friend with the 8 foot bed.

I have this very odd sound that is driving me crazy. For lack of a better explanation it sounds like an old steam locomotive chugging up a hill. It is similar to worn brake pads on a rotor, but it doesn't start till 15/20 mph and it consistently stays the same sound whether going 30, 40, 50, 60,70 and then abruptly stops at 20/15mph.

And then, sometimes it never does it. I have been thinking wheel bearing, and praying it isn't transmission related.

Other than that, just waiting for some snow to play in. We have been getting rain with temps near 30 deg...which means, traction control is doing a fine job keeping me straight. I hate ice.

Still hoping to get out to Bald Eagle State Forest, but we are too darn busy.

Took the truck out for a nice drive to get it to regen and burn the exhaust out a bit. Always a good excuse to get out into the hills. Got home and the pup was riled up since I left her home, so I loaded her in the jeep and took her for a hike. Tore her pads up and bled all over the jeep so I'm glad I took it. Plus she has all the room to herself.

Diesel stuffs. The truck HATES short trips, which produce alot of soot while not getting the catylst hot enough to properly burn the soot deposits as well as the def is injected to keep NOx levels down. I did a couple runs local and though I do get the motor to operating temps, it still wasn't a good heat soak I guess. You can smell the exhaust as well as hear the truck when it does a regen itself. It did a couple this week, so I either didn't allow them to finish or it was running super dirty. So out to the highway we go! Usually about 20 mins, but I like to cruise in the Ram anyway. I took it down, jumped the tracks, carve the mountains, pretty much make everything on the truck sweat.

Replaced the cracked driver's side headlight and finally remembered to take the beach toys and cart out of the bed that have been riding around since Fall Break.

This week I found a damn good deal that I absolutely couldn't pass up...
A member here was selling the bed cover on his truck. A hard trick fold Undercover Flex for a 6.4 bed. I bought it for $90
No haggle no questions except will you help me out it on.
I also bought an OEM sliding rear window too.
I'm so thankful that I found this cover.
I looks brand new!!!668412983d52f21f4241dc0f21f50e92.jpg0caeff61c1e3904c9cfb8b46a61a5948.jpg

Blue Mule
OEM sliding window would be the bomb. Big job, but probably well worth it
