I'm going to be in your state next month. Taking the family to Yellowstone in the Ram. 3 adults, 2 kids. We'll see how that goes. Starting from Milwaukee, WI area.

@shadowhawk I’ve done that trip before: 2 adults, 2 dogs, 2 kids . . . Luckily we had 2 cars so it wasn’t 2 bad.

one crew cab truck.... it's going to be cozy. my adult son debated on driving his own car out, but then decided he could deal with the sibs in the back. I'm sure we'll switch off some drive time to help out. Breaking it into 2 days will help too

View attachment 213758 View attachment 213759 Drove it 12 hours round trip Vegas-salt lake on Monday. Not bad fuel mileage considering Utah’s 80mph speed limit.

These trucks are great in the highway. I have the 3:21 and despite losing towing capacity I love the highway performance.

I was talking to a Chevy owner at Home Depot and he was sayin his new Silverado with the 5.3 gets worse mileage than his previous one lifted in 35’s. He had the 2” lift from factory version with duratracs. Even with my mud tires I’m doing good. My 2008 tho was averaging about 9 MPG [emoji1787]

Yesterday my initial goal was to delete MDS with a tuner..... However, as never using a tuner before, I had no idea what I was in for.....

Installed DS 93 octane tune. Driveability is better but I think there's room for improvement. Chomping at the bit like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for Hemifever to get the custom tune out to me. Oh boy! Oh Boy! I can't wait! lol Ordered the ATS thermostat bypass delete block for the trans. <thanks to AFMoulton> Hoping I get it by tomorrow night, that puppy will be installed bright and early 4th of July.
