Missle launcher
I drove to Marcus Hook, Pa to Quick-Shifter’s shop. He had some 1.5” spacers for sale, I had some rubbing on my uca’s at full lock, I started a conversation with him for advice to fix my rubbing. Instead of just telling me his would work he gave me lots of options, I ended up going with a 1” spacer but knew then that he was a true professional more concerned with helping customers/members than making a sale. I had posted anyone within a 100 miles of his shop needing/wanting repairs or upgrades should check him out. Took my own advice today & we- I say we, he let me help him with the install but it was clear he was expert & did all the heavy lifting but I did what I could. We put a new fuel pump & sensor, new brakes with a fluid flush, rear springs, control arms, pan hard & & sway bar. I had a awesome day working with Quick-Shifter & learned a lot. He has a great shop, every tool you would ever need, & he is a great guy who isn’t satisfied until it’s perfect! I would be happy to drive twice as far to have him work on my truck! So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.
This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
Amazing!
Replaced the turn signals and puddle lamps on the tow mirrors.Broke the passenger convex mirror in the process. Replaced the parking sensors in the rear and used a heat gun on my wheel flares. I took this as I finished the last one. View attachment 234398
Heat gun?
Heat brings the oils in the plastic up to the surface. It's temporary and will eventually fade again. A new heat cycle will do it again until there are no oils left in the plastic.
