I've been pretty much just lurking on here for a while. Today we traded in our 2022 Delmonico Red 1500 4x2 5.7 for a 2026 Forged Blue Night Edition I6 SO 4x4. Significant difference with better ride quality on the 4x4. I kept the BedMat bed liner and Truxedo Sentry roll top bed cover, among several other accessories I had on the 2022. I did buy new step rails in black, I left the chrome step rails on the 2022 when we traded it in. A few pics attached.

Well, not today, but yesterday, on the second day of us towing our travel trailer (TT)South, it went into a dealership to try and find the the reason for it once again, puking lube all over the front of the trailer and all over the truck...

The last time i went through this, it was blamed on a leaking oil filter, then the second time, it time it was the residue from the time before.

THIS TIME, it was diagnosed as a bad rear transfer case seal at the drives shaft, which I thought it was the first time back in February. It was replaced under extended warranty and off we went.

Late this afternoon when stopped to pick up a new repair part for the TT, and low and behold, much more lube coating the back of the truck and front of the transfercase!
So, once again the trip is on hold. We are in an RV park, and I'll start hitting dealerships first thing in the am seeking help..I'm now wondering if the vent tube is rusted shut..

Does anyone out there have any ideas as to what is causing this aside from moving to a differant brand truck?

ON EDIT: New transfer case should be in tomorrow..

Installed the Bakflip MX4 hard tonneau on the 26 5.7 1500 Bighorn in forged blue. Easy install, got an open box return from AmericanTrucks.com, definitely recommended............

I recently did the exact same tonneau cover, and I love it !!! :waytogo:
(truck is parked under a lift, which is kindof strange looking pic, haha)

Seems like it’ll hold up really well, my last was a soft trifold lamers for my 2012 and had no complaints, but got lucky no one was more curious what was hidden in the bed on some roadtrips. Did test running it thru car wash, it does leak in obvious spots but I think it’ll be cured by thicker weatherstripping

Well not today but since I last posted have done a bunch. Got rid of all the chrome bits using gloss black hyperdip which came out pretty good for what it is. Got the windows tinted then finally upgraded the shoes to a fuel flame 1mm offset wrapped in a 295 65 20 Toyo Open Country RT Trails. Stock suspension on the limited but does have the off road package which apparently sits 1" higher than normal limited since its normal mode is a normal limiteds off road 1 setting. Has just the slightest rub which I can fix with a heat gun and pushing the spot it hits at back. Finally looks rugged and not like a grandpa truck with 32" tires lol.

Man, I’m jelly of those of you that have the offroad package. Mines got LSD+protection group but a locker would be really nice. How many times have you engaged your locker since owning that beauty?

Nothing fun. My battery died Friday, jumped it and it was fine all day.

Today it was dead again so I dropped $300 on a new battery with a 4 year warranty from O’reilly.

Picked up a 10year/100k miles extended power train warranty this weekend... Called a 10/10 buy in. It extends the MOPAR 5yr/60k warranty on the 2025 RAM models to match the 2026 warranty. Seemed prudent to get, for $695 out the door at the local RAM stealership. Truck has to have been purchased new, non-commercial use, and be less than 1 year old and under 12k miles. Since I was at 11,360 miles, I just squeaked in.

These warranties at 10 yrs 100,000 are for drive trains.
What is the BASIC warranty now, bumper to bumper for ‘26 models? Did they extend the 3 yr 36,000 as well?
Just wanted to know for sure from a new buyer what they got. I like the idea of buying into THAT if extended but the drive train, I know it’s great but I don’t typically keep my vehicles more than five but I do keep them over the three.
I am not gonna purchase a very costly Maxcare etc for the extra year or so, so an extended bumper to bumper upgrade option like this posted one for drivetrain would be great for my 25 truck.
