I'm heading out to a local state park this month that's about 9 miles from home one way.
Since its so close I've often thought about pulling it there with no wdh connected, especially with this 2500.
My trailer is around 6k loaded. Does anyone know what the weight carrying capacity of my stock receiver is with no wdh? I figure I'll be in the 8-900 lb tongue weight range.
Just curious. I've always hooked up the wdh for safety, but I feel like this 2500 is stout enough that i could make that short (no highway, max speed 50-55 mph) run on the ball only and it would cut down on my hook up/unhook at the CG time.
What say you good men? Thoughts?
Thanks
Greg
