Is clamping the pipes enough? I could do it myself but I dont have a welder so itll have to be clamped.
I YouTube d a video with a full boar muffler sounded really nice. And like you said 190... dang!

Clamping the pipes will be plenty. I actually just recently installed a dual exhaust kit from that same seller with a fullboar muffler on a chevy and the fit was perfect and it sounds awesome. Just make sure you get the clamps nice and tight and youll be fine

Sorry one last question. Did it make any noticeable changes to performance?

I love the Flowmasters on mine. Nice growl, and when you stomp on it, along with the whine of the CAI, people notice. Just this morning I blew pasts a ****** car Prius that was limping along at a green light.

And the sound it makes shifting 1st to 2nd gets the wifey hot.

Is it true duals? or a system like I linked?
Also, how loud is it? I really don't want an obnoxiously loud, especially for when I drive on the interstate.

Both sound good according to Youtube but that doesn't really show the real.

I didnt notice anything on the butt dyno, throttle response seemed a little better. It sounds great though for a 5.3 chevy

nice rumble at start up, very little resonance inside, not obnoxious on the highway. I looked under it, it is single in dual out, stainless tips, exiting the back just under the bumper. I didn't install, it came with the truck and I have owned it two weeks.
Years ago I had a single in/out magnaflow, on a 97 Ram 5.9 gas, that was loud! I don't like obnoxious loud, but some American V8 rumble is always nice.

And yes, like the one you linked. Well made and fits very well

Something I read over on the Dodge forum about Hemis with the dropped 4 cylinders when cruising for better mileage.... It says that the factory uses a massive muffler to hide the "fluttering" noise that is obnoxious, when the 4 cylinders are not firing and are just basically pumping air. Probably others here can chime in on this, true or false. But it's something I read yesterday, you may want to investigate further.

I have an 07 1500 with the 5.7, it has single in duel out flomaster comes out right befor the passenger side rear end, it's really pound inside the cab,I want to run it out the back but trying to decide on a system. When on the highway the cylinders cut out it feels real bogged down. Ramflscott, I'm thinking g on the specter cold air Intake, how do u like urs, and does it perform good compared to the k&n system, and what else have u done to it ?

It came with the truck when I bought it so I can't compare. Seems to be good quality though. Just sold my Jeep this weekend so now I can focus on really checking out my Dodge. As far as how it runs, I dig it. I am going to guess there is little difference between K&N and this Spectre. Probably both do a poor job filtering the air. Probably both don't flow any better than the stock set up. I wouldn't have bought a CAI, so it's cool it came with one.

IMO do not use any muffler that is baffled as they lose power. Straight through mufflers such as Magnaflow work great and sound good. No one will every agree on what sounds good so it comes down to performance. Good luck... very few get it right the first few times..
