I seen a truck in a parking lot a few years back with reflectors in those spots,i just assumed they came with the flairs as it sure looked like a factory installed reflector.

Maybe reflectors are required in Canada, or Europe, and they just use the same flairs worldwide?

Looks to me what they call "different style". So, R&D was sitting around a table in a conference room and one of the guys walked in with a rendering just like those flares. He said, "there are so many of them out there for sale and many of them look exactly the same. I suggest we add a little flare to the flare to offer something different." And then he pulled out his rendering. And then all the suits and ties starting clapping. And then they signed the documents. And then it was produced at the manufacturing plant. And then it went on the market. And then, people bought it and asked, I wonder why this is like this? I'm pretty sure it's likely how all these "And Then's" went down, precisely in the aforementioned description. Now, if you want some blinkers on your flares, that would be a perfect spot. I think with a well thought out retrofit, it could be aesthetically pleasing and compliment the truck as well. So, if that same flare is not offered with an upgrade at an upgraded price to include a light setup, that's what I think :boobs:

its not oval. it is a specific shape.
Maybe you can find something in the bicycle world that'd fit. Make a pattern of it,and then start looking to see what might work with that pattern.

I would look around for dually fender lights. You may find something close in size that may match the curve as well.

BTW, Google search brought up a lot of Facebook posts of people asking the same question. Lucky for me I don't have Facebook.

Those look a lot like the oem ‘19 and up power wagon flares. Those come from the factory just like that…nothing there.

LED foglights?

They look a little like knockouts to create hand holds so you
can carry it when you get it stuck in the sand at Bethany Beach.
was thinking lift handles when you have to change a tire,
but it would be a neat spot for move over A.H. strobe lights. ;)
